This, is a refurbished product. Which means it already failed once. The icemaker is a nice to have, not a must have. And if you dont care about app connectivity, this is a steal if you can get one at $199. https://www.newair.com/products/n...r-and-home

Dang let me know if that comes in stock, I will buy one at that price WAY better than $600 for a refurb unit

These are 199 for a reason. They are being discontinued so if your items gets delivered with broken parts you are SOL. returned mine as i didn't want to take a chance with this company.

This always has to be plugged in, the EcoRiver has a battery and can run indefinitely on a 100-watt solar panel. Check YT reviews. The EcoRiver is geared towards people who are off grid for an extended period of time.

This is not correct. The other product also has a battery you can purchase for it. Runs off of 12v car adapter, or Solar.
