Typically there is only a small label that identifies the year on the box. So if you remove the charm on the ornament, no one will know, unless they are a Swarovski snob.

My favorite ornament!! I have 2 of these, the way they look when they sun hits them, is just gorgeous! I have them hanging in my kitchen, they're too precious to go on my tree.

Yes, the gift box does. You can remove the 2022charm and the outer cardboard box (which I did for this gift), but the green padded box inside that holds the ornament does have the year on one side in gold leaf print. I'm gifting them anyway because I like them better than the current year's.

you cant..Amazon commingles inventory with 3rd party sellers. Sellers can send anything labeled " Swarovski Annual Edition 2022 Glass Hanging Ornament " and if you are lucky you'd get fake/wrong item instead of Amazon's sourced inventory

That's how I got cheap ear rings ($1-$5) labeled skateboard ($150)
or cheap eye piece ($10-$15) in a sealed Swarovski eye piece box ($750)

How can you tell if it's fake?
i had to order one it looks nice in the picture. Hopefully it's the real thing.
