Looks like T-Mobile is offering a hidden $10 hotspot plan ($15 before Auto pay). This is for consumer and business accounts. It's for BYOD hotspot devices only and connected laptops (so no phones or tablets). Looks like you will have to contact T-Mobile to get this. There will be a $35 activation fee as well. See the attached flyer and link for more info.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, this is a post paid plan with a hard credit pull. T-Mobile chat is waiving the activation fee though

$35 activation kills it.....just call it $50 for 30GB and be done with it.
Do you think activation is required every month or something? What are you saying here? Where can you find a better deal?

I just signed up via tmobile chat. No activation fees. Decided not to get a hotspot device from mobile and decided to buy it from eBay.

Any suggestion on whether to buy M2000 vs MiFi X Pro 5G M3000?
Yes would like to know as well

How long did it take for people to get through with chat? Waited about 30 min to transfer to a live customer support team and then chat closed at 12AM PT.

I was able to do this, the rep got the correct plan without me having to tell him any codes, but it took like an hour to get everything going.

I got the hotspot and it's being shipped in 2 days, we'll see how it goes.
Which hotspot you buy

just signed up using the Costco number...added to my existing account.

$10 taxes included every month
Sales taxes for the Franklin T110; will be billed as $3.75 a month but will be credited $3.75 so it should come out to be zero.
Did not ask for the $25 Costco cash card. Don't really care.

$10 for a travel hotspot of 30GB is good..why not.

Franklin T110 is 4G ? Does not support 5G. The plan you signed up is 5G?

Thanks for posting the deal. I signed up for the hotspot line today at the T-Mobile kiosk inside Costco. The $35 one-time activation fee was waived. The recurring monthly charge is $10 (which includes all taxes and fees). And I will receive a $25 Costco gift card in the mail in about 60 days. The only downside is that the monthly cost may go up in the future, i.e., it is not locked at $10 forever. However, since this is a month to month plan with no contract, I can drop anytime.

My total cost for the first year will be 12 months x $10 ($120 billed by T-Mobile) less the $25 Costco gift card for a total out of pocket cost of $95.
So you are locked in for a year at $120? Then after that price may go up?

I don't even use the 40GB that comes with my plan. What do I do with this 30GB?
You don't get it then 🙄

I have a T-Mo "free line on us" phone SIM in an unlocked AT&T ZTE tablet that apparently (and thankfully!) T-Mo doesn't recognize as a tablet.

This reminds of the old days and cheap $5 unlimited "TZones" data plans that was only supposed to work on dumb phones, but also worked on certain smartphones that T-Mo couldn't confirm were Android or iPhones. I used to use it with Windows Phones, Symbians, Palm phones and "obscure" Androids that T-Mo didn't sell (ZTE, Sony, etc.) and apparently didn't recognize as smartphones by IMEI.
Yea. I'm not even too sure T-Mobile truly cares as long as we are not blatantly abusing the line. The iPhones I'm using only have eSIM so I had to contact T-Mobile to transfer the tablet line to the iPhones eSIM. Every time it was no issue and a seamless process. They were fully aware what I was doing and just pushed it through. Quick process.

Do you know if that is the tax inclusive plan?
Tax is extra. The representative who helped me said about 6-8%

About the commenters saying the price will change after 12 months, I have never seen one of the big 3 providers attempt successfully to raise the price of an existing plan before (they certainly end of life it though). T-Mobile tried recently on grandfathered plans and failed spectacularly, walking it back after bad publicity. No evidence this plan expires after 12 months.
