The SOC code for the plan is MI30TI for taxes included plans (most people) and MI30TE for taxes excluded (those on plans like simple choice that don't include taxes).
I was personally able to sign up for this plan on a new account earlier today via T-Force on twitter (@tmobilehelp). I simply asked for the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB Plan". I also had a spare SIM card laying around that they were able to activate immediately, and they kindly waived the activation fee (called "DCC" or "Device Connection Charge"). YMMV on if they're able to waive that fee though.
Also, if you ever did the T-Mobile "free trial" that came with the free hotspot to use, that device will technically work for this plan, but you won't have 5G since it's an LTE modem.

I had a question of how to activate this SIM without a hot-spot if it was to be used on a phone - Found this reddit thread as an answer - https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...&context=3

Do you think activation is required every month or something? What are you saying here? Where can you find a better deal?
Any suggestion on whether to buy M2000 vs MiFi X Pro 5G M3000?
I got the hotspot and it's being shipped in 2 days, we'll see how it goes.
Which hotspot you buy
What did you say to get the phone plan updated?

$10 taxes included every month
Sales taxes for the Franklin T110; will be billed as $3.75 a month but will be credited $3.75 so it should come out to be zero.
Did not ask for the $25 Costco cash card. Don't really care.
$10 for a travel hotspot of 30GB is good..why not.
Franklin T110 is 4G ? Does not support 5G. The plan you signed up is 5G?
My total cost for the first year will be 12 months x $10 ($120 billed by T-Mobile) less the $25 Costco gift card for a total out of pocket cost of $95.
You don't get it then 🙄
This reminds of the old days and cheap $5 unlimited "TZones" data plans that was only supposed to work on dumb phones, but also worked on certain smartphones that T-Mo couldn't confirm were Android or iPhones. I used to use it with Windows Phones, Symbians, Palm phones and "obscure" Androids that T-Mo didn't sell (ZTE, Sony, etc.) and apparently didn't recognize as smartphones by IMEI.
Yea. I'm not even too sure T-Mobile truly cares as long as we are not blatantly abusing the line. The iPhones I'm using only have eSIM so I had to contact T-Mobile to transfer the tablet line to the iPhones eSIM. Every time it was no issue and a seamless process. They were fully aware what I was doing and just pushed it through. Quick process.
