Active account is 4 months. Inactive converts to 3:2 which is 8 months once add ultimate trial or 1 month code.

I just got a Series X in October. I'm currently on the last day of the 2 week GP Ultimate trial. Just to be sure I'm understanding correctly...I could buy 12 months of Core which I would later convert to GP Ultimate and that would come out to about 8 months of Ultimate. Am I on the right page here?

Correct but it's important to make sure your current trial/subscription is done. Once it is, then add core and after that, convert it back to ultimate.

Does it actually require buying all 3 years or could I buy less to convert? I'm a noob to the Xbox ecosystem.

Best advice to anyone just adding time onto their ALREADY ACTIVE ultimate account, WAIT UNTIL IT RUNS OUT.
Conversion rate is only 3 to 1 for active accounts. If you don't have an active account or it just expired, Microsoft offers a 3 to 2 conversion rate as a "welcome back" or "thanks for joining us" promo. These codes are stupid cheap everywhere out there all the time.

IMO, look for the 3 month STACKABLE codes and take the time to turn the auto renew on and then back off with each code as it gives you 15-20 days each time you do it.

The 3 month cards from Target from this deal here. Are they stackable? I looked in the fine print and didn't see anything about it but I would assume so. Just want to make sure before I go through 😁 I missed out on the decade worth of PS+ for cheap a year ago or so. I definitely want to make sure I get loaded up here

The conversion rate for existing subscribers varies depending on the length. The 3 month cards seem to have the best conversion rate for people with an active Ultimate subscription. You get 50 days which would be about 6.7 months instead of the 4 months with the 12 month subscription or the 8 with a restart.

Depending on how much you need to pay for the restart of Ultimate that might be better than waiting for it to expire for some people.

No, the conversion is currently 3:2 for new/returning subscribers, so a year of core comes out to 8 months of ultimate.

For existing accounts, the ratio is 3:1, which makes it 4 months of ultimate if you have a currently active subscription.

Can you pay for this with target gift cards? They currently have 10% off target gift cards these next two days which I believe could be stackable with red card 5%. UPDATE- added to cart and won't allow me to use a giftcard - option greyed out

I am just getting my Xbox today and really lost with these game passes.
Is Ultimate requires to play Starfield. On the Xbox site it looks like Console pass includes it. But on the Starfield game page itself when I click the game pass logo it shows all 3.

Coming for a PS3 it appears I know nothing.

I just want to play the game and don't need to talk to others on a headset.
