Was going to purchase, but after reading some of the recent reviews, it seems like the ball gets stuck easily and it just doesn't shoot well overall. Not purchasing for that reason.

I would counter with my experience as they do not jam provided you don't overload the internal loading mechanism. Although clearing jams is easy on this blaster compared to others I've experienced.
This video potentially describes the 'jamming' those reviews are acknowledging. Kids with small hands or ones who lack upper body strength fail to prime properly.
I did get the Perses on a deal a while back and that think is crazy fun (except for picking up afterwards).
I guess for 8 bucks it's something for the kids to play with on xmas. Definitely going to buy another bucket of 3rd party ammo on amazon though. (who knew nerf-branded tiny foam balls could be so expensive)

The 5 rounds was the main thing I questioned - is this normal for one of these? I thought most Nerf guns these days basically were like semi automatic clips or something? I'm super out of the loop though...these might be the norm.
This thing is a lot of fun! Want to step up your game? Get the 18 Kg spring from Amazon (link below). I was getting a 60% increase in velocity and almost 3 times the distance. So much fun at the office!

The lowest it's been on sale is $7.99 but that's not often. It's pricey for a spring for sure. It's the exact size needed for the Kronos and unfortunately they don't list the specs so it's difficult to find a cheaper one. IMO, I was happy with the performance for the price.
