The main downside is the cooling being compromised; this has been reviewed to have heating and throttling issues. No real downsides other than that, I'd say.
This MSI is really a great laptop, just as good as the Lenovo and the Asus, but its big con is not supporting G-Sync/Advanced Optimus. (The good Dr might want to edit the info on the OP)

Also, it does support Advanced Optimus but not G-Sync.
It has a i7 13700 and instead 16gb of ram but is $1697.60 with the coupon for a 4080 with 240htz too

The lowest it has been is around $1480 directly from HP.
Better to search SD first.
