This seems to to be the regular price for most stores and it appears to have been $50 back in Oct.
If you can stag a 20% off coupon it would only be $47.99 at BBB - https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/...zcQAvD_BwE
Any good alternatives? I need some good steak knives, preferably not serrated. Don't need a big set with any kitchen knives. Brand unimportant as long as they're well made.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've decided not to go with wood handles because someone will absolutely throw them in the dishwasher repeatedly despite me asking them not to. The ones I want to replace are Chicago Cutlery, and they've been better than expected, so that's a brand I trust on the lower end. Got it narrowed down to a few on Amazon, a Chicago set being one.

The reason for serrations toward the tip is because it is presumed that a steak will be eaten off a plate, glass/ceramic. Either will rapidly dull a blade. Partial serration is the solution.

Not sure how spending over 6x as much is comparable, but thanks anyway, those look nice.
Thank you for the unneeded explanation, but as I said, I prefer non-serrated knives. I've used them for many years, and I know how to cut a steak, regardless of what is "presumed" by you or anyone else. You might want to tell the dozens of manufacturers who sell straight-bladed steak knives that they're all doing it wrong.
No hate or disagreement. Zwilling/Henkels makes straights too. But there is a reason for the serrations. As to a person's preference, that's their or your preference. I have the tools to finish a straight blade, but my steak knives are serrated.

I'm not usually a fan of serrated blades either but these Victorinox are bloody sharp and cheap.

Definitely not a set of steak knives to impress the future inlaws. These knives are extremely budget friendly and will cut through steak like butter, just make sure you don't use them to cut cardboard or as a utility knife and they'll last awhile. Knives are light weight, feels good in the hand and makes for a great pairing knife.

Thanks for another option.
I ended up pulling the trigger on a set of Oaksware non-serrated knives. Relatively cheap, decent steel, simple design, and very well liked according to Amazon reviews. If they suck in person, I'll send them back, but they looked like a fair bargain and a gap filler until I decide on something nicer.
