the mount literally comes with tape to mark the position to where. to line up the mounting guides.
I bought an open box one (technically a GX) that didn't come with it.
And tape or no tape, it's a dramatically more challenging experience than hanging a 77" C Series. With that, you can use a standard wall mount... put the bracket on the back... and then hang the TV on the rail (or whatever type of device is mounted to the wall).
The wall mount I used for my CX (or C1???) was a full width rail so I could almost do it blindfolded. It took about three minutes to hang it vs. the headache that was the G series.
As for the TV itself it's a pretty significant improvement over the Sony A90J it replaced, having the ability to get much brighter. MLA technology also improves color saturation a bit compared to traditional WOLED, but still not to the level of QDOLED. However, the G3 series is significantly cheaper than the Sony A95L and I've had too many issues with Samsung electronics to go the 90C/95C route.
One other thing to note: this comes with a 5 year panel warranty, though you cover labor after the first year. LG has implied the warranty covers burn-in if it's from normal usage.

The Samsung S90C is more often compared to the LG C3. This unit, the LG G3 blows the S90C out of the water in every way. The G3 has an MLA panel which can get very bright, brightness is the main gripe against the LG C3. In my opinion this unit is better than the S95C as well, LG OLEDs include DolbyVision while Samsungs do not. This G3 is a phenomenal unit, especially at this price.
The LG panel is technically not as good at color representation but in day to day usage they all look amazing. The LG may be better when used as a non-gaming monitor since TrueType works with its pixel layout. The LG panel may also be less prone to burn-in
As noted in my post above, I mounted a 77" C series without breaking a sweat -- attached the hooks style mount to the back of the TV. Lifted the TV up and hung it on a super wide rail wall mount.
It was a PITA hanging my 77" G series because we spent so much time trying to guide things in while trying to peek behind the TV (which only tells you up and down, not left to right; while the tape only tells you left to right, not up and down). I had my A/V receiver stack and speakers below the TV which made things extra hairy.

I do agree that the LG wins in upscaling, reliability, and obviously having Dolby HDR is a plus.
