While optional, you can do shorter cleans in between by emptying the bottle, putting in a little soapy water and swishing it around (or use a bottle brush to give a quick inside scrub), and do a quick sponge wash around the screw threads on all lids, takes less than a couple minutes. Rinse and if you can, dry it (a second bottle helps for rotation).
The main issue with metal bottles is the (removable gasket) and lid threads (both sides). The gaskets because moisture can get trapped where the gasket seats, so there's a whole hidden side that can grow mildew, and you have to pop the gasket out to clean there. The lid threads, particularly at the drinking spout, because it's right next to where people touch their lips to drink so microbes collect most easily there.
You can pop the gaskets out with a couple quick taps of the lid onto a padded hard surface, or you can use a toothpick or similar to pry them out. Then use a brush or swab with soapy water to scrub out where the gasket sits, and around any lid screw threads (both sides), as well as cleaning the gasket itself. If you're going to soak with vinegar (10 minutes is enough), you should pop the gaskets out as well since you'll want to remove residue/mildew first anyway.
You don't need to fit your hand in the bottle, the inside of the bottle is pretty low on the list of mildew risk (much lower compared to the gasket areas and screw threading for the lids). You should still get a bottle brush/sponge that can reach all over the inside of the bottle though.

I don't see it online anymore.
The torque is to great for the small plastic handle piece at the hinge, it snaps with very little pressure at the side of the handle.
I also like the bottles with a bit soft bottom padding.
I have a $10 off $50 sporting goods/toys/tech circle offer that this qualified on so tossed a few other things in my cart.
Came here to say all the above - great deal for 2 bottles.

Wide-mouth lid is great for filling and cleaning.
Lid with grip loop seems pretty durable (for consumer-grade plastic), but haven't tested its impact resistance (yet...).
As previous poster noted, drinking cap attached by same durable, flat, plastic which has been crushed/flatted to create "flexible" joints for movement. It will break, not if, but when. But, there's also enough plastic, that a handy person could punch holes in flat plastic on bottle and cap, and re-attach in a highly usable fashion.
Magnetic cap holster is a novelty, but it does keep cap from bonking your face while drinking.
Bottle does fit in console cup holder in my SUV, haven't tried in our sedan.
No silicone bumper. For its price, I think it should include one on base, a least.
Cap seals well, but I find a little annoying to screw/unscrew. Might just be my unit.?.
Drinking spout has lip/drip indentation, which is a nice design touch.
Lid AND BOTTLE are dishwasher safe, for those of you who don't want to hand wash.
I'd been waiting for an SD price on a quality, large (quart+), insulated, steel bottle. This was it. If you're looking, you should take the chance at this price.
Target also had the fiery orange one available for about $20, for those that care about such things.
Unfortunately for me it doesn't fit in a Tesla cupholder. I will return it because of that but it's a solid water bottle if you don't intend to bring it in a car.
Fits in my Jeep Wrangler but not the wife's Mazda CX-30.
