Just to clarity the 805 only has two independent sub outs, the other two are parallel.
Denon isn't missing Dirac, it's not included in the price.

Incredible deal, if I had a dedicated theater, this would be my choice. Spanks the Denons that are missing Dirac suite. If you need 4 independent sub outs, wait for the 805 to go on sale. These are on another class at nearly 50lbs

This looks like a very good piece at a great price. Specs are outstanding. However, I have always had reliability issues with Onkyo. I just bought the Denon 4800 and so far it is pretty good. My first Denon. I've also had low to mid tier Pioneer and Yamaha recently as well. All were good for what I needed them to do at the time. BTW, I bought my Samsung TV in 2019 and it doesn't have eARC! That sucks cause my new receiver supports it

yes...agreed
This looks to have a very robust amp/power supply section and doesnt necessitate buying a separate amp
This should play at very loud levels , for long periods of time, with even low ohm speakers without breaking a sweat

Additionally..it comes standard with a Dirac license and an appropriate calibration mic for Dirac calibration.

Surely wished I hadn't bought that Marantz 7015 a few months ago

If this Onkyo drops any lower the Marantz will be gone, though

Don't fret, the 4800 pretty much gives you all the same benefits other than a little extra power that you may not even need.

You also do not have sub/bass integration, you need to pay for it.

The other good RC includes it and you even gain another called directional sub/bass integration.

I would suggest getting the Audyssey's $20 Editor App, it's worth its weight in gold imo.

Looks like the DAC used in these are top of the line. Just wish these had XLR outs.
The pioneer 805 is essentially the same but with the XLR and $1000 more.

I got an onkyo system about 10 years ago. I'm on my 3rd remote control. The volume up/down always stops working over time. Very frustrating, not sure why it isn't designed to be used every day.
