I'm watching this series on Crunchyroll. It's quite funny and lighthearted. Enjoying it quite a bit. I would highly recommend it. A couple of notes -

— I personally find the voice of the main kid character a bit difficult to understand at times (for the english dub). The voice actor has put on this nasal and shrill voice. I understand it was to give the kid a unique and funny voice but I think the actor overdid it. I'm assuming they used an adult who is trying to put on a kid's voice. The affected voice she has used is a bit irritating and sometimes I miss what she said. They should have just used a kid.

— Season 1 ends abruptly in the middle of the series. It doesn't really seem like a season end. There was no event, no important development or the end of a story arc. It was just a random episode with the story continuing. I kept waiting for the next episode and when one didn't drop for some time, I realized the season had ended. Season 2 is midway right now and just continues seamlessly where the last episode ended. No logical break in the story.
Bro what stuff you been into?
My daughter loves this show but it's also on Hulu. To buy or not hmm

Not sure what age group it's rated for. Season 1 seemed harmless as far as I remember, however, season 2 is on right now, and the recent episodes are bloody and fairly violent. Not suitable for younger kids if you ask me.

Thanks. I had started it on Hulu a while ago and been meaning to catch up. Others in house don't like having to read subtitles, so I have to find time to watch to watch it when I can keep subs on.

Important to note: this is only Part 1 of Season 1. It only contains the first 12 episodes out of 25 for the Season. This is a common practice to break up seasons into two parts for anime in iTunes.

Haven't seen this yet. My son enjoys the manga book series [amazon.com]. We've been checking them out from the local library.

The series is streaming on Hulu [hulu.com] and Crunchyroll [crunchyroll.com] too.

It's a slice of life, masquerading as a complete story, since the premise has a clear goal, and the source material (manga) is not very far along. It's intended to be primarily character-driven. Definitely don't get your hopes up for any serious advancement in plot.

I actually like the voice acting for Anya. I watched a little of the sub and think the English dub is pretty good and captures the personality. I know they intentionally pronounced things wrong to be more child-like so I can see it may be an issue for some but not an issue for me.

I do agree there is currently no clear arc to the story. I am around S1 E18 or 19 and while it's cute and funny at times, there isn't any clear development to their main objective or any kind of tension keep the viewer engaged. Unlike other shows which I can easily binge, I am slowed to about one episode a week whenever I feel like to wind down but no real motivation or urgency to keep watching.
It is a nice PG-ish rated anime (minor violence) with broad appeal that I have no problem for my kids to watch.

I don't know if it has an official rating. It's classified as Shonen in Japan, which usually targets 12-18 year olds. And Common Sense Media recommends ages 10+, which I'd agree with. There may not be much explicit content in the first season, but one of the three main characters is an assassin. So it's obviously going to cover some content that's not appropriate for very little kiddos.

Last few episodes in season 2 have been much more violent and gorey. She kills like 100 assassins.

Cute show. Probably a little overrated but I can see why so many like it.

It's a very cute series. Been watching it with my college bound daughter. One of our pass time whenever she is back.
