I have Stanley, wife has OT, when we both have ice water, hers melts many hours before mine. Probably doesn't really matter in the end, but always think that's indicative of the "seal" or "insulation" perhaps.

I am sure anti-brand people will debate this till they die, though.

This aint your grandpa's Stanley. Their quality has gone to trash over the last several years. Might as well get a knockoff because they likely come from the same factory. Mine fell apart after the first use and attempts to contact the company where mute. I'm pretty happy with my Oxo travel mug. Pay a little more get a lot more.

Idk if it was a publicity stunt but that video where a women's car went up in flames and all that was left was her Stanley cup with still some ice in it is crazy. Not to mention the CEO of Stanley bought her a new car and more Stanley gear. It's just hard to believe anything in the internet nowadays....

I have used this bottle daily this entire year, and have had zero issues. It's a complete tank, and works great. The flip up part can be a little tricky to clean, but I let it soak in soapt water now first and it cleans fine. If you're on the fence, get it.

I have this because I was looking for something that fit in a cupholder, and there weren't many tumblers with the same capacity when I had bought it. I like it enough, it resists dents better than any of my hydroflasks. Replacement lids are impossible to find if you ever need one.

Also, no one ever comments on it. Even in my last gig surrounded by gen z and younger millennial nurses, I don't think people realized that it was a Stanley product. It doesn't have a straw or mug handle. It feels incognito, and I don't feel like a geriatric middle aged millennial trying to fit in. I'm cool with that.

Stanley actually keeps temperature much longer. I have seen ice water from 18 hours earlier stay as ice water. I didn't want them to perform better than the cheaper brands like OT or hydro flask - but they do.

Yeah, I can state this with certainty. At my daughter's Middle School (public school, not especially wealthy) EVERYBODY has a Stanley. Even parents of kids (like my Wife) have Stanleys too. Definitely not about functionality - I'm sure you could get something that works as well or better for 1/3rd the price.

If you go to Stanley's website directly everything is literally like 75% off, that $45 h 2.0 Tumblr is $13 for the 40 oz, but I literally cannot check out, it keeps rejecting my payment for some reason. I have like $200 and merchandise I'm trying to get from the site directly
