When you have a promo gift card, you do not get a discount on the card. You buy the card for the face value and products are prorated. So if you buy 2 $15 items at 50% off and a $10 gift card, you are now buying the $30 of products for $20 and you are buying a $10 gift card for $10. 50% applies to the product value, giving you a $10 discount, meaning you pay $10 for the products now and $10 for the gift card for a total of $20. If you didn't apply the $10 gift card promo, you would pay $15 for $30 of products. It might be unintuitive, but it isn't wrong, the system isn't broken, and it's always this way.

Maybe it depends on the gift set because it gave me 50% on 3 sets. They were all old spice deodorant sets. Wouldn't do a 4th though

Would be nice if the $35 min for shipping. Not a fan of redcard adding that.

EDIT: What kind of sale is this. I added a $1 filler and it took away 50% on one of my 3 items. I remove filler and it is back to $15 savings. Whatever 4th item you seem to add, it has no 50% off but the 5th item gets it again. This is wild.

Did this in store yesterday. I had to get my total adjusted since the 50% wasn't working as soon as the gift card promotion attached. I think this happened last year like this too.

It is because they deduct the 10$ gift card value from the total (30$+) before any other discounts or offers apply. This is so that if you return products, you don't get to keep the gift card for free. You get prorated amount back for what you return. Hope it helps.

Ah thanks. I remember something similar when I used to do the diapers with $30 back.

The oldspice body wash went OOS for me so maybe I will see if it comes back.
