Yep. When you can play these games at home as an adult, there isn't nearly as much replay value as you think. It's a fun thing to do sometimes when people come over, but for the most part my machine sits there unused taking up space in my basement
As much as I love the X-Men arcade this is still too pricey. I paid $199 for the Simpsons cab last year and that came with free shipping. Most I'd pay is $250.

Cheapest price I have seen for X-Men new. Only has three games on it but this was my favorite arcade growing up so it was a must buy for my collection, even if owning it is more a tribute to my memories of playing the game. (I bought it used a year ago for $300 but would be tempted to buy this now if I didn't already have it)
Had to jump on this deal. Lowest it has ever been and I've been watching it since last Black Friday, if not the one before that. I'd love for it to hit $200 or $300 (w/stool) Iike Simpsons but I don't see it happening at this point. Threw some rewards certificates at it and got 6% cash back. Now I just need TMNT and I'm done. Thanks OP!

You can easily soft mod this to play TMNT I believe

Grabbed Simpsons last year during it's race to the price bottom and awesome as it looks, nostalgia isn't enough to save it. So repetitive. Probably just didn't notice as a kid because I didn't have unlimited quarters. Audio isn't great either.
I worry X-MEN will be the same. Maybe when it hits $200. Maybe.

you can mod it to add a shitload of games, right? i have never found a good list of what cabs support that and i dont' want to buy one that i can't modify because i agree, waste of money without a ton of games

I am with you. I got the Simpsons for 300 and 150 Dell GC. Think $45 cash back to. All in it was a little over $100 but sadly still waiting for me to put games on it. I feel like the easy part was modding it but struggled to get games on there in a presentable format. I really want to replace the board with the 6 per person because the 2 is very limiting on some games. One day I will finally finish this project. Until then, it looks nice and can easily play simpsons and TMNT.

100% I picked up 2 a year and a half ago, and played for the first week maybe 3-4 hours total, then they just took up space in my game room. Sold them pretty easily on craigslist a few months ago...
