If I remember, the next time I think I'm due a new battery I will hit Kragen/O'Reilly to test current one and compare what they say vs ancel. But I doubt that will be soon

would be interesting if the advertised CCA matched as you suggested lol

Not in the same way, no. It's all about the dynamic conditions. If this is like others I've used, it can monitor battery output during a crank, it can do transient loading to measure series resistance, cold cranking amps, etc. It's a lot more thorough and informative than just reading static voltage levels.
