Yeah maybe with other brands, but you should probably do some research on this specific brand and model of subs before jumping to that conclusion to understand that will most-likely not be the case with these. Even if there was a chance of it happening, their CS has been lauded by many. It's a sub-$500 (pun intended) sub that punches above its weight class.

I currently have a single RSL speed woofer 10s and have on Onkyo NR7100 that does not have independent sub outs. Is it still worth having a second sub if can't calibrate them independently?

Technically you can calibrate phase independently, which would probably be the most important item, but you could also buy a cheap minidsp as well to help.

Hmmm, do you mind posting a redacted receipt? Were you in the same state they're in (California)? This page [rslspeakers.com] kinda confirms what I assumed in my post saying they will "taxes are not included in this rate" on the 2nd paragraph after "OR".

FYI, based on user feedback, I updated the post to reflect that you can only have a max of 4 users in a Power Buy party and the fact that taxes may not be excluded. Thanks for the feedback people!

There are multiple comparisons on the two out there. I just got mine 10s a few days ago to replace my SVS PB1000, not because I wanted to but because I needed a smaller subwoofer after the wife remodeled the living room.

The 10s is not yet broken in so it would be difficult for me to compare the two at the moment, but from what I have read it would not be worth an upgrade and the SVS would do marginally better for movies where the RSL would be marginally better for music. The price vs performance is why everyone raves about RSL subs, its supposed to be very accurate and you cannot beat the price. I cannot imagine you would be unhappy with 2x 12s of either brand. Personally I think the RSL looks better, the SVS has an extremely grain heavy finish that I do not prefer. For me it would come down to price and size, I think buying a pair of SVS gets you a discount so you would save a few bucks.

So far I am happy and my wife is happier. We will see.

Even without the deal, the 10" subwoofer has been rated as the best in its class by Wirecutter

If you read the article, you will see the other subwoofers they have tested as well as their reasoning.
