What does this mean? The quality is super important, and actually, these movies shot on at least 35mm will, if scanned and transfered properly, have an equivalent resolution higher than 4k. The only issue is when the transfer is poor. Like Casino Royale which was shot on film, has a shitty 4k Blu-ray because they were too lazy to make a 4k transfer, so it's just using the 2k intermediary.
It's not. Seems like a good company that I want to keep selling me 4K UHDs for < $10
finally a more consolidated post, instead of all those single posts with the one-time use anniversary code. thanks, persian_mafia!

I bought a lot of these when they were $10, not sure if its worth hassle of returning.

Thanks. Cool Hand Luke has been on my Blu-Ray list for awhile now and $8 for 4K seals the deal. And yes, I know there's been no great remaster and the quality is average, but at least it's a little improvement and I'm not double dipping.

I've purchased numerous UHDs lately from them, both via eBay and their own website; It's just Universal selling physical media directly to the public via another name. I haven't had any issues with shipments except for the fact the tracking doesn't show up on their site, but you are emailed the info when they're sent.

Scam. Just like in photography, the resolution doesn't matter. But the quality. and the quality you get from an 80s movie....

You watch the 4k UHD rescan of the 1962 film "To Kill a Mockingbird" on a capable TV, then tell me how resolution doesn't matter. That rescanned movie (as just 1 example) shows incredible detail which is lost on lower resolutions.

Clearly, he doesn't know how it works. Unfortunately this always gets misleading/confusing.

What/how a movie was shot in isn't the biggest deciding factor in PQ, how well the movie is transferred does.

It's not, please don't. $10 is still a very good price for these. I paid a bit more than that and I'm still satisfied for what I paid for them. Let's not punish these companies with added expenses when they offer us movies at often unbeatable prices.

I've purchased well north of fifty discs from Gruv over about 10 orders, two from the Ebay store. First rate experience every time, had to do one return, and it was hassle free.

I agree about not trying to nickel and dime these companies that do us right. We, as physical media collectors, probably have a limited future as it is. Let's not accelerate the process by being ingrates.
