You have to quote them if you want them to see your reply. The idea that it would only work once even if it did burn off some paint is bogus. Like any grill, you cook a very hot fire in it prior to cooking anything.
Here's a tip: lots of places restrict open camp fires but allow cooking stoves. This + one hot dog or a marshmallow on a stick is a cooking stove. Don't be a jerk and use it in a high risk wildfire area of course.
Paint peeling? It says high temp but even if it peels, so what? It will still function and $9 is cheap. For actual cooking, consider a gasifying stick stove for a bit more. I have this and like it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071P1X3ML/ It's slower than butane but you don't need to carry the fuel.
Go camp somewhere. Peace.

In CA a cooking stove means with gas, a wood burning grill or stove would have same restrictions as a campfire
Lol high temp paint. Wonder what chemicals are in that paint that will burn off while cooking and get into your food. No one's complaining there military man, just looking out for anyone who may spend the $10 for it to only work once. Wasting money is wasting money, we're here to help people not waste their hard earned money.

Had one used it once, Realized, even though it is compact, it gets so dirty and charred, i wouldn't want to carry it anywhere, or would have to really deep clean it afterwards If your going camping in a subcompact car....maybe works out for you, otherwise just buy a blackstone and accept the marginal extraspace it takes up.
blackstones take up a ton of space. It is also extremely messy in comparison. I am not saying this grill is the go to replacement, but certainly packs up significantly smaller. This plus a small back of charcoal means bbq wheever you are.
I like the concept of this although I also question it's durability. That is built into the price though...burn it up, get another one for 10 bucks...whatever. It would probably last camping for a week, or a few weekends and I'm sure it'd be cheaper than buying take out food. Most campsites have fire rings and grills so I guess I don't totally see the practicality...falls into a special niche use case. If travelling light, this would be excellent since it packs flat. If weight wasn't an issue you could even make an industrial one out of thicker steel.
Real talk, do these little grills work? To me they seem so small you'd exhaust any wood fuel before you could cook anything (or you'd have to constantly feed twigs into the fire) or fuel like charcoal would be so close it would burn the outside of the food before the inside was even warm. A folding rocket stove seems better for wood or perhaps an old school army stove for fuel pellets. (only talking solid fuels) Not saying I haven't stopped myself more than one from buying one of these mind you....
Somewhat related, trying to find a video online of this product in use I stumbled upon the fact Walmart seems to have knockoff Solo stoves for sale. The 7" for $40 doesn't sound too bad.
