I got this on the BF deal. Fantastic for Teams or Zoom calls. The controls are intuitive and voice quality is clear, with superior noise suppression. The other side did not even know that there was construction noise around me. My only gripe is the comfort. Took me a couple days to adjust to the band. The clamping force is not too strong, but you can feel it after long hours.

Xm5 have better anc, bass and a bit more comfy. 700 have a way better mic and a bit better sound quality.

It seems like u didn't even read the article for review, just wrote ur opinion.

Cuz for mic comparison, they clearly showed with wind & office examples that Sony is better than Bose.

They might have been paid by Sony or I had faulty headphones. Every time I made a call with the xm5 I had to switch to the phone because no could understand me and said it sounded garbled

That's interesting. The xm5 I bought has been excellent in team videos chats for me just as the articles recorded audio examples.

Just to say you're not crazy - it's a couple of years, but I returned a pair of XM4 and got Bose QC35 for the exact same reason. Will say the ANC is not great on the Bose - people tell me they can hear background noises quite clearly, but I'm on mute 90% of the time.

I had the same issue with the xm4 so I can say it's a Sony issue.
