Today, price is $499.99, can use the code AFFIRM15DEC, with the discount of $-75, it comes to $424.99 + tax.

Th price is much lower than yesterday's front page deal, the only thing is about Affirm. Any suggestions?

I was excited until I saw Affirm, hard pass for me. Not a deal if you have to open a line of credit to buy it, even paying it off right away isn't worth the credit check hit. Just IMO of course.

Enough with the ridiculous payment schemes. These types of posts should be banned but they won't because Slickdeals gets a kick back.

I forgot who but I've used one that doesn't have any impact on credit. This may have been one and they just charge the credit card in 4 payments.

Does my credit score go down if I use Affirm?
Affirm generally just conducts a soft pull of applicants' credit histories, which doesn't affect their scores. Depending on your credit and eligibility, your annual percentage rate (APR) on an Affirm loan can end up being 0%, or 10% to 30%.

Haven't applied for debt in 6 years, tempting just because the soft pull won't mean much for me.

So, quick question as I'm a new builder.

Would it be better to get the 7800 or the 6950? Benchmarks show similar performance but I was wondering about RDNA 2 vs 3 between the two cards. Will there be a worthwhile feature that 3 has over 2 that would make the 7800 a better buy in terms of longevity?

On the plus side, you'll get a free year of credit monitoring after the company suffers a breach and leaks your SSN.

I have excellent credit so I don't personally care about a soft check. Adding an account and closing it right away by paying it off won't really impact your score much at all. Even if it does, mine will go back up in a month most likely. Saving $75 is huge on this right now as I have not seen the price lower. I likely will be pulling the trigger so thanks for sharing.

I don't see GPUs going any lower in the next couple months so I bit the bullet. This is the lowest I have seen the 7800 XT so far and the 4070 doesn't seem to drop below 500. If Affirm turns out to be a pain in the ass I might regret it but so far it seems to be OK. I intend to just pay it off immediately.

I was planning to place an order after I posted this later last night but found at the final step Affirm needed the last 4 digits of SSN. It's not worth a credit check for $75, so I canceled the order.

That's ZIP, I have used ZIP once, and only need the credit card.
I canceled my order last night because at the last step, Affirm need last four digits of SSN for signing up an account.

slickdeals is a FOR PROFIT organization, and was (maybe still is) owned by goldman sachs. How do you think any bank makes money?

unless you somehow foot the bill for the entire operation and buy off the website, and then run it as a none profit, get off your moral high horse maybe? every deal posted here is posted for a reason, and that reason is probably because someone is getting a kick back, or will help someone getting a kickback in the future.

I've used affirm plenty of times and they don't do a hard pull on your credit. It only comes up on your report once you pay off the loan
