Works great on thin material. Cardboard is a breeze.
Not as easy on uneven surfaces.
This isn't the best price ever, but still good value in my opinion
For a cut pile carpet, you'll need to "find" a row, between the fibers of the pile, so the blade can be focused on cutting the backing.
For uncut pile, this will probably not better than a razor blade.
