Figures i paid $400 more a couple months ago.
That said its a nice looking shed.
It will require warm temps to put alot of it together so you can strong arm it to flex into position. The roof is definitely a two person job and again let the roof panels heat up in the sun...here in Chicago when It was 80s out was still difficult. Could never get the doors to fit flush and Customer support is missing in action if you need help. I blame the molding and warped parts.
Over all its ok and we will see if it lasts through a Chicagoland winter.
Its not waterproof do open slats where bottom of wall panels attach to floor panels. They are like drains every 24"

I would definitely get it at this price though.

I personally would stay away from "lifetime".. I have a previous post somewhere on the slick that shows a photo of the front of mine it has a split down the seams on all 4 corners after 2 years.. Lifetime did not honor the warranty and are a mockery to be called "lifetime"..
I suggest you try suncast / keter / rubbermaid / sears.. anything but this cheap doodie

Costco and amazon have had sales on wooden sheds this month.

Options were way better last week...
Check reviews! They are a bit rough...
You can always get free plans and buy and cut the stuff for less than one of these kits...
Costco does have sales on them a few times a year...
I have been been watching prices for about 18 months.

Can anyone vouch if this is a good deal? It says Lifetime, just significantly larger (8x15) at around the same price. Siding looks different though and the normal price here is significantly less.

To each his own. I have 4 of these at diff locations, one almost 10 yrs old in Florida Sun. Has held up well. I built the base with 2x6's and PT plywood.

Tip: Its not 8'x12.5'. Its 7'10" x 12"4". Why that is important. If you build a bigger base (esp wood) the water seeps back in under the floor. Resulting in rot over many many years. If you go wood route, make sure the shed flooring lip extends over the base so water just flows away.

Again not true. You need permit for anything over 150 sqft in FL. This is ~100sqft

8x15 at 1099 is certainly a better deal than 8x12.5 for 999. Go with what you need. If you have the space go with 15'

Also inside scoop.. these are all modular. Built with 2.5' incremental modules. Walls, flooring roof. So if you wanted to do 8x10 or 8x12.5 Or want to do 8x20' ... you can!

I have a Lifetime shed (and an array of other Lifetime products (tables, chairs, etc).

My shed is 10X12 and it's great. Me and the neighbor had it up in a few hours, not counting the foundation. We had two cordless screwguns going.

The only assembly issue was getting the swinging doors to line up perfectly. took a minute, but got there eventually.

Mine is dry, tight and pretty solid. It's only been a few months, but if it's anything like my other Lifetime holdings it will be fine.

For $1,000 this is a deal!
So much This! The foundation is the key. Must be flat. Else you will have to shimmy up the edges to align doors.

Any other questions, yall have shoot! I am free for next 30 mins

I'll take you up on your offer! Why 2x6 instead of 2x4? Thanks Smilie

2x4 does not offer much support. With 2x6's all you need is 4 cinder blocks in the 4 corners and 2x6 can handles over 500lb/sqft. 2x4's will buckle.

If all you are going to put in these shed are some bikes and christmas decorations. By all means.. go with 2x4's

Also I tend to over engineer. But at $4 extra for 8' span of PT 2x6, its no brainer. You are spending may be $60 more for 4x the support.

Thanks for the detailed response. I built The 5x7 shed from Costco using 2x4s for the base. I will probably go with 2x6 this time then.

What thickness plywood would you recommend? I think I used a pt 5/16 for my last one.

Tempted, but anything larger than 12 feet needs a permit where I live. Max I can build is 10x12 with no side being larger than 12 and no higher than 11.

If you are doing 16" offcenter, I will go with 3/4 for sure. If you are doing 12" then 5/8th will be good enough. You will spend on more of the 2x6's though. So its a tradeoff. 5/16 is a nogo.
