Figures i paid $400 more a couple months ago.
That said its a nice looking shed.
It will require warm temps to put alot of it together so you can strong arm it to flex into position. The roof is definitely a two person job and again let the roof panels heat up in the sun...here in Chicago when It was 80s out was still difficult. Could never get the doors to fit flush and Customer support is missing in action if you need help. I blame the molding and warped parts.
Over all its ok and we will see if it lasts through a Chicagoland winter.
Its not waterproof do open slats where bottom of wall panels attach to floor panels. They are like drains every 24"

I would definitely get it at this price though.

I personally would stay away from "lifetime".. I have a previous post somewhere on the slick that shows a photo of the front of mine it has a split down the seams on all 4 corners after 2 years.. Lifetime did not honor the warranty and are a mockery to be called "lifetime"..
I suggest you try suncast / keter / rubbermaid / sears.. anything but this cheap doodie

Options were way better last week...
Check reviews! They are a bit rough...
You can always get free plans and buy and cut the stuff for less than one of these kits...
Costco does have sales on them a few times a year...
I have been been watching prices for about 18 months.

Looks like its $2249 for me. How are you getting about $1200? Even though it says 8x15 at the top, the pulldown on the right side is not the same. Says 8x7.5.

I bought the 8 x 10 version of this model 11 years ago. Only complaints I had seen were water leaking from the skylights so a used silicone caulk when installing them. I built it on a 2x8 pressure treated base I put in first.

The shed has gone through 11 Chicago winter/summers and still is in really good shape; no leaks, still solid, and still looks really good (I should note it is under trees so is only exposed to winter sun).

Only issue I have had, as others noted, is door alignment.

I've played around with dry pouring concrete quite a bit. Did a lot of tests before dry pouring a slab which will only be used for foot traffic. Based on what I learned from my tests, I wouldn't feel confident using it as a foundation. It's not as strong as mixed concrete since you can't possibly get the water ratio correct using the dry pour method.

That being said, I put up a shed like this last year and just basically built a deck as a foundation. Used some concrete deck footers from Lowe's, and it's worked well.

I would say no as the floor is hollow and would collapse in between the internal supports. You need the floor to tie the walls together. Maybe you could put a few sheets of ply down but I think it will still compress the floor under the weight of all that water.

I have the Lifetime 15ft long version, it has held up very well for about a decade......except 2 foot of snow fell in Northern VA the first year and the roof buckled inwards. Lifetime was called and sent not only all the parts to replace the roof but also threw in a free snow load kit without me even asking. Summary: I like the product, the company several years ago at least was nice to deal with, and if you live anywhere there can be a big snow to consider the snow load kit. Its just extra metal braces to support the roof

Even though the title says "8 Ft. x 15 Ft.," you need to look on the right side of that page for the size selector/drop down. $1,099 is for the 8' x 7.5'. The 8' x 15' is out of stock @ $2,249.97 and the 8' x 12.5' is $1,672.78. At that pricing, the Costco deal is definitely better.

Captainpsp said this was modular, with 2.5' sections, so I guess technically if you leave one 2.5' section off you would be able to slip under that requirement.

So it would be around 8'x10'

Ya, I'm pretty handy and wouldn't mind building one myself. The kits seem to have more bad reviews than good reviews. Have you found decent shed plans online?

This may be an odd question but how easy/hard would it be to move this after building it? We plan on building a house down the street and I just want to know how feasible it would be to move it. Would it be easier or harder to move with a decking style foundation? Thanks in advance.
