They are not poor construction. It's a magnesium alloy (lighter than aluminum).
Yes, you can bend it if you try. but flexing from everyday use is not a problem and won't hurt it.
Very tempting. Can anyone comment on fan noise with a dedicated graphic card?
I'm more worried about heat as if there is poor heat dissipation, then the fans will scream like a banshee and then you will have two or more problems.
I take it the LG Grams or well designed in general, so maybe there's a chance, but the smaller the chassis…
great deal for $800, I would have bought this instead of the Dell Inspiron 14" Intel Evo Platform Laptop 3 months ago. Its great for work, but I rather have a 16" inch screen, 14 is just too small. shucks...
Poor construction prone to bending. Treat with care. Also a nuclear meltdown waiting to happen thats how hot these runs. This is all in their forums.

I have a 16"gram with 16gb ram. My i7 does horribly in bench testing! Seems they throttle everything to avoid overheating. The fan kicks in when running photoshop etc but is dead silent for web browsing. I'd buy it again though, has no problem running photoshop and camera raw. Quite amazing how light these are.
