I just bought this and set it up to replace two cheaper zigbee motion sensors that I had a lot of trouble with. I like this one a lot to turn our garage light on when we open the kitchen door going into the garage.

This one is very fast, paired immediately, works with little to no light, and I was more easily able to run this with Smartthings Hub with a community edge driver.

Same. I had used SmartThings across several homes, but after they re-invented things, I switched to Hubitat and haven't looked back.

I ordered one. I'll see how it does with a Hubitat if it works without any wifi connection ever. I also second the home automation rule of no Wi-Fi.

They work fine with habitat Hubitat. I like them for super fast responses with local processing. I also use a few (ugly) IKEA plugs as zigbee repeaters, which seems to help.

What are you using for as your Zigbee radio? I had issues with them not using other Zigbee devices as repeaters eventually falling out of the network. Zigbee2MQTT + Zigbee Dongle has been working great but I essentially split off the Aqara devices away from the network to avoid issues.

Hmm, surprisingly I've had the opposite experience. I have 7 water sensors and 2 door sensors that are spread out over hundreds of feet. They're surprisingly responsive.. loving the zigbee connectivity with a main hub.

How do you use zigbee2mqtt? I have blueiris and saw that in there. Is it beneficial?

These are great and work very well with Zigbee2MQTT. I know this is the newer version, but the price seems a tad high, as the older ones work fine too and are around $10 if you look around. Still appreciate the post!

I have good experience with Aqara motion sensor with hubitat as well. The built-in light sensor is a nice feature to have. I can configure hubitat to turn on light only if it's dark enough when detecting movement.

The part about it not being compatible with SmartThings out-of-the-box is bizarre. Do these companies realize that Samsung (for better and worse) completely owns the home automation space, despite what cranky hobbyists say?

Maybe I live in a bubble but I don't know anyone who uses SmartThings anymore
