I have one of these and regret it. I would have rather gotten the nicer brevilles that can grind beans.

After 9 years with my Original Line Pixie, I decided to buy the Vertuo Pop+ deal during BF and it's been a bummer experience. Feels like a big step down from the Original pods, though it is nice to have the versatility of different drink sizes.

Considering kicking out both and just getting one of these.

I got the pop plus during bf and I love. I had a Keurig and a William Sanoma original line before it.

It's worth the buy! I went from Essenza mini to the Creatista Plus & just love it. Looks nice on the counter too!

For VL, I had the Vertuo Plus deluxe then recently upped that to Creatista Vertuo-now that is a disappointment. Msrp is higher $100 than OL version for them to give us the cheap manual pod opening. For that price, I would have expected the Vertuo Plus automatic opening.

Can relate.

I got a new Creatista Uno and a used Vertuo machine, and both worked fine, but the espresso on the former was so much tastier than the espresso* and coffees on the latter that I ended up donating the Vertuo to Goodwill.

(*except for the double-espressos; man, those were delicious and I miss 'em!)

This looks interesting. Tempting to buy one but is it worth paying the extra $300 to have the milk frother integrated?

My Pixie is old too. Bought it when it first showed up here at SD. I love it. I have tried Vertuo and Vertuo Plus but still went back to Pixie. While I like the coffee option, both never get as hot as the Pixie does. I remember back then that was the best selling feature of the Pixie.

If it helps, it's actually a milk steamer rather than a frother. Much more like what you get on an actual espresso machine.

If you drink 2-3 cups a week. then Nespresso is ok.
If you drink 2-3 cups a day. Then Nespresso is an expensive way to drink coffee.
Unless you work for Nespresso and get free coffee!
What's the typical cost difference per cup of espresso between Nespresso pods and a regular espresso machine?

Paid more than this when I bought the Creatista Plus in 2020 and brew 3-4 pods daily. Looking for deals on here typically can get Nespresso brand, Peet's, or Starbucks pods between 30-50 cents per. So $0.90 - $2.00 for my quick morning routine depending on the deal I get for pods. This machine makes it very flexible to do just a brewed espresso or Americana or a whole flavored latte if you want that. It's been going strong for almost 4 years now, as I would expect from Breville. You can get pods cheaper with other brands than what I mentioned, but they are weaker and less flavorful, generally.

This vs brewed coffee - Overall much quicker and easier for me to do in the AM instead of cleaning out my pot, grinding beans, brewing and then drinking coffee over the next few hours from a travel mug. Probably less teeth staining and less bathroom trips from the volume of regular brewed coffee.

I have a Nespresso original machine and Aerochino milk frother...how are these any better??
I have also been considering ditching Nespresso altogether and going for a fully automatic espresso/coffee machine from Philips or Delonghi.

Have the Plus and highly recommend. Convenience factor is worth the trade off on cost of pods for me. Use daily for 8 pods and frothed milk. Zero issues and looks great on the counter.

Yeah, the original line machines make coffee closer to espresso; the Vertuoline machines make more like very strong coffee. And plenty of 3rd party vendors (like Peets) for original line capsules that are more affordable. Only the expensive Nepresso vertuo pods are good for the vertuoline machines, the Starbucks vertuo pods suck
