I just got a switch for the the kid's Christmas. When installing digital games, is there any reason to choose the internal storage over an SD card?

There's not much of a difference other than the internal storage is very limited but whatever is stored on it will always be available to you even if you change SD cards. I use it to store the games I know I'll be playing on/off for years like Animal Crossing and Mario Kart/Party. I've switched out SD cards a few times now over the years so it's nice that those games are always available to me without having to go through the download process.

the two that i bought are "get slightly disappointed and then never play again" games. very VERY limited, low budget games that i deleted in short order.

free is free - but the games i bought, i wouldn't even download if they were free (one of which is drag race rivals - fun for 5 minutes then playability and fun go to zero once you get the fast cars and upgrades)

the cheapskate in me is fighting with the "annoyed by wasted time playing and deleting games to find out if any of it isn't shovelware" part of my brain

reading all of the prior comments... there's hardly even *anything* positive aside from being free
