What is the title to buy? What freebies should we be excited for? I'm not familiar with many (any) of these titles.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of their games. They're obviously not all bangers, but a few have been very enjoyable and well made. Don't knock it 'til you try it.

To everyone asking if it'll be the same games they've given out before, they'll definitely give out games they have before, but these end of year giveaways usually have 1-3 completely new games that they've never given away for free. It takes maybe a minute to check in daily so it's not much of a hassle to follow along for 11 days straight.
Not my first rodeo with them - got all the Halloween ones

Nintendo Switch has a lot if shovelware. Some are probably made by college students as class projects.

I know this won't be a popular comment because people love free stuff but I have done this a couple of years in a row and honestly....it isn't worth the time.

They are either high quality shovelware or low quality games depending on how you want to look at it. I assume they do this to improve their rankings and discoverability in the e-store by having tons of installs.

The Halloween games are mostly all trash. Their other games are better.

It would be dead for those who don't have any of their games but for the rest of us it would very much still be live.

There's not much of a difference other than the internal storage is very limited but whatever is stored on it will always be available to you even if you change SD cards. I use it to store the games I know I'll be playing on/off for years like Animal Crossing and Mario Kart/Party. I've switched out SD cards a few times now over the years so it's nice that those games are always available to me without having to go through the download process.

There's a movement in the gaming community to always buy physical copies of games because Nintendo could yank it away any time. It's in the EULA. Playstation yanked all discovery show content purchase by people on their online store stating that their new agreement with Discovery channel requires them to remove content. This is a disturbing precedence.

Signed up for their newsletter, still no email. I do however have Rekt, which I think I picked up some years ago on one of the 20 cent sales. My 3 year old loves that game, so it was definitely worth the 20 cents even if I never play it.
