Price is good but Worth noting the newer pro version (versus this non pro model) supports godox transmitters vs this one being sky port only. Some additional worthwhile features added to the neo 3 pro. (Brighter 5440 lux vs 4541). Prior price has been $299 on this.

Wonder how this would work out as a video light?

Are you saying the PRO has been $299 and I should wait or the non-pro has been $299, so it's only a $30 savings. I'm not a pro, but I am in the market for a portable "all-in-one" light.
Thanks.

Not sure that this is the way with low ISOs for a strobe/flash vs. traditional flashes(or setting up good lighting to begin with, like with one of these Smilie)... not just the brightness, but what's up with that tint: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFNGbkmG1sU

They guy likes the light, just says you have to be careful on how you expect to use it and how well it will work for that use case

I'm looking to use it as a fill flash. do you think it'll do better than a typical Speedlite?

I don't have one of these, but from what I am seeing, not even close when it comes to light output on the strobe... the video I posted showed a built in flash over powering this on strobe mode, so a speedlight would absolutely destroy it. It might work for a fill if you don't need much light tho, but then there is the tinting, mainly when using the diffuser...

they work great. the three-light neo 3 kit they sell (with the stands and rolling case) is my primary setup for video production.

i do a lot of run-and-gun one-shot / two-shot captures and im beyond happy with these lights for both indoor and outdoor use.

The pro model has never been that low. More like 600.

Why choose this over something like the Aputure MC Pro, which is smaller and $100 cheaper right now?

Smaller will make for a harsher light. The bigger the surface area, the better.
