On the skillet, LOL @ the reviews about rust after washing.

These skillets are rough (you can see the texture from the casting in the photo). You can smooth them out with, say, an Avanti Pro drill-mounted stripping disk and then season. You probably would want to season more anyway. A lot of work for an $8 pan though.

The reviews show what an incredibly ignorant and 'dumbed-down' world we live in.
Pure comedy gold.

Quit whining over trivial things and also do your homework.
There are multiple uses of single quote marks and one of them is to highlight words.
Since it's obvious the 'dumbed-down' is over your head, my usage is perfectly correct.
The pot calling the kettle black…

Read about seasoning and caring for cast iron and similar pans. You do not need a drill to smooth this pan out. It is rough when new for a reason.

You're using dumbed down incorrectly. Not to mention the incorrect usage of single quotation marks.
Dumbed-down has a hyphen, but regardless this is hardly the venue for feckless grammatical discourse.

It has a texture that will allow the seasoning to adhere to it. As you use it over time and season it, the pan will become smoother.

I have one that is so smooth that nothing will stick. It just takes time. Never use soap. Get chainmail or the lodge scrapers. I use table salt to clean it with a paper towel.

I'm getting 12.99 for the cast iron skillet. Is there a code I'm missing?
