This is th best value laptop you can find with the M3 lineup:
This is a great deal, the new air with m3 will probably start at $1,100. Add 512 GB SSD and 16 GB ram will become $1,500. The M3 pro starts at $2k, I never seen it cheaper than $1,800.
Cons:
Compared to M3 pro models, it is weaker in terms of performance, there is one fewer usb-c port, no new black color, and supports only one external monitor.

See the post ahead of mine. Hes confused. Thats all apple is doing putting a non-pro chip in a device with pro in its name. I get it they are trying to replicate the intel i3, i5, i7, i9 (M3, M3 pro, M3 max, M3 ultra). Get that maximum income.
Contrast to the lies Nvidia has been spreading since Pascal about their mobile GPUs. There's the (mobile) version, the Max-Q version, and then some versions they claim are totally the normal SKU, but are actually cutdown dies. And even then, some with the same die are configured for completely different power draw depending on the manufacturer! *That* is what intentional confusion looks like to trick people into buying a laptop that actually sucks instead. Comparatively, this is easy. Know you need more than 16GB of RAM, or that you'll need more CPU/GPU power? Pro or Max chip. Good enough with anything but want a nice chassis and screen? Base M3. And they all perform exactly the same as the others of their kind, plugged in or on battery. Can't say the same of most x86 laptops.
