Years ago Norton was a resource hog. I jumped on the Bitdefender wagon then and haven't looked back. No problems or breaches but I do recommend turning off the "upsell" notifications as they can be Clippy levels of annoying if you don't.

Just tested this and purchased the same subscription I already had that didn't expire until 2024. When I activated the code it gave me two options, extend my current subscription or to add a new subscription. Extending my current subscription worked fine.

I got in on that many years ago. I've gone through probably 7 or 8 new computers and it installs fine each time.

I'm considering Malwarebytes bc of my elder family members..... they keep clicking on bad stuff. Considering a 1 yr is usually $25-30.... might be worth it to stash for a rainy malware grandma day

edit - I bit. Will keep that in my back pocket until the next senior citizen in my family does something stupid
I had to put Bitdefender on all my parents' devices for this exact reason. Works great. They used to have tons of issues downloading stupid stuff and clicking on bad links but this has taken care of the problem. Saves me from having to constantly fix their stuff.

Few weeks ago, I spent $15 for 3 pcs, 1 year.

Malwarebytes and MS Defender is all you need.

Anybody who used both Norton and Bitdefender? Which one is better? In what ways?
Thanks,
David
I like Bitdefender better, uses less resources compared to Nortons.

Does Bitdefender do any proactive stuff before they download / click on malware sites? The elders have ESET antivirus but it doesn't seem to kick in until it's too late, hence the Malwarebytes

Does anyone know if this deal can be used to extend service for current subscribers?
YES for malwarebytes. You can add the license key to your account and then activate it when your current license runs out.

Thanks, bought two licenses, may go ahead and get another two so I don't have to go through the renewal fiasco for 4 years,.
