Thanks for your feedback. I'm not shilling for this product nor do I own it (I have a Roomba that doesn't self-empty), so no comment on how good it is. But it is one of Consumer Reports' highest rated robot vacuums of 2023. Just wanted to share in case anyone was looking for this, looks like a good price compared to historical.

I bought this years ago, it's pretty bad. Unless your floor doesn't have anything on it (shoe laces, chords, ANYTHING) it'll get stuck. I think our 9s is about 50% finishing without getting stuck. Pass on this one and at least get the one with the camera.

It's a good vac for carpet, but that's about it. I think what the poster above was trying to articulate is the product is horribly outdated, regarding the tech. The J7+ has a forward facing camera that does a much better job at mapping, navigating and avoiding objects(not a feature of the s9) and can be had for <$300(refurb)-$480(costco's J8+, which is a bigger battery version of the J7 and comes with extra accessories.

I have a refurb J7+ to give for Xmas.

I guess I will stick with that. The extra suction interests me here but sounds like J7+ is the newer item and I have a messy kid house so those camera avoidance features probably worth it

Couldn't agree more that the J7+ is far better and can be had refurbed on ebay for about $255 when they have the Coupon thing going..

For me was $336 less 20% so not quite as you're saying but close

Have this and went through a few warranty issues. Was even give free extended. Seemed wonky in the beginning with mapping, auto suction level, and more but have had zero issues for about a year now.
