The 945 came out 2019. That alone tells you the battery is already going to be affected since I'm not sure when they stopped making them but I'd guess 2020. Also it's far outdated in OS updates. My Vivoactive 4 was 2019 and I haven't seen a decent update ever when I bought in 2021. I just got a 255 as my upgrade.

The epix gen 2 is 2022, already better then the 945 IMO

I ordered this Epix Gen 2 watch from the Bike Closet on 11/24 ($399 at that time). Received the watch on 11/27. No complaints from me about the Bike Closet. Or about the watch for that matter...

Hmmm... I just checked the link and see that the price has bounced back up to $449. As has been noted in other threads, Bike Closet prices seem to change very frequently. I had to visit the site for several days before I caught the price at $399. If you are patient then you might be able to catch that $379 price again. Good luck!

Exact same story here. I received mine and absolutely love it. Awesome watch on par feature-wise with the Fenix 7 or 965, but it's a nicer watch than the 965 and better screen than the F7. Really not sure why it's being discounted so much, but I'm not complaining.

Yes, Bike Closet has been bouncing this back and forth between $399 and $449 for a few weeks (or longer). Chances are this (or the $399 price) will come back.

Also if you don't mind Open Box, they have had a few pop up at $349 (watch here - https://bikecloset.com/product/ga...-open-box/). And a couple of Sapphire Edition Open Boxes for $449 (here - https://bikecloset.com/product/ga...-open-box/), which is a crazy deal.

I didn't bite on any of these (already have an epix), but have bought several other things from Bike Closet, and will continue to do so.

I would say give it a few days then try to check on it twice a day - it looks like they have a bot that adjusts prices based on demand - a fairly aggressive one at that... a few days ago, it was mostly holding steady at 399.99, then dropped to 379.99, then bounced back up to 449.99 after the slickdeals hug o' death...

It has better hardware and materials. It has the latest sensors from Garmin whereas the 945 will have a sensors that maybe be 3 generations old now. OLED screen if you're into that as well.

If you want something cheaper, look for a deal on a 255. That's what I bought about a year ago and it has some of the newer sensors. I think the 255 is one generation behind on the sensors now.
