Is there anything stopping current subscribers from canceling their current service and rejoining to get the bonuses?
I don't see anything that says you can't do it.
The only restrictions seems to bein 5 year price guarantee
5-year price guarantee: Offer valid thru 1.17.24 for new Verizon Home Internet ("VHI") customers who have not subscribed to a VHI service within the last 90 days.
Check your order status to see if it is on hold. If so you'll need to call the fraud department to have the hold removed so that the order can be approved. The first guy in the fraud department was useless as he was unable to remove the hold. Unsurprisingly, He couldn't tell me why. Two days later I called the fraud dept again. The lady who helped me was able to quickly and easily remove the hold. When asked why the previous agents had failed to remove the hold, she could not provide an answer. The customer service is quite incompetent and inconsistent. I had spoken to a couple different agents before figuring out on my own that I needed to contact fraud department.

I tried adding the $499 Series X in case the promo was in the cart somehow but just the Series X itself got removed. Nope. Tried chatting with customer service, rep was useless because there was a known issue with the tile not showing for some customers for the free Xbox and Amazon gift card, it was estimated to be fixed by 12/15/23, and I was assured to not worry as I qualify for the offer (#1 that's not my problem but the agent just kept repeating different variations of this, #2 I don't want to wait until they decide to stop upgrading the Series S offer to the Series X).
Edit: Called phone support, took a while but rep got ticket submitted, bit over an hour later was able to order a Series X for local pickup.
for my update, I received the Amazon GC offer right away and was able to redeem (no confirmation email after redeem), but no Xbox offer nor email 2 days later. Tried chat and call, neither was helpful. Found one CS that was willing to get manager approval to order series S but I said I rather wait.
