Ouch. Is it worth this much for such unnoticeable gains? This alone costs more than my rtx 4070 whole build with i7 12th gen.
A 4090 is substantially faster than even a 4080. Its massive.

It hurts that this costs as much as like two entire mid-range computers. What a wild market.

So tempting…. currently using 5950 cpu with Gigabyte 3090 non ti 1440 monitor 165hz. Always wanted a FE card, but was never able to due to the crypto crisis.

Seems like this far into release cycle there should be price cuts. Still a good deal in the current landscape but I'd still probably wait for 4080 super.

I doubt this is actually in stock given the shortages. I ordered a different model 4090 they had listed a few weeks ago and it got cancelled a couple days later.

A few things:
- comes with a three year warranty. use your AMEX Platinum or equivalent card to add on another year
- 4090 has only ever gone up in price for a while now. this is the only instance in recent times where i've seen it match the price six months ago. link: https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-c...t-analysis
- according to youtuber Moore's Law is Dead, the incoming 4080 Supers will likely be on AD103, not AD102. Supers will not rival this card for any AI stuff. link: https://www.tweaktown.com/news/88...index.html
- also according the the same youtuber, 4090s are selling incredibly well while 4080 not so much. hence the price increases.

I saw this same deal on Best Buy earlier today and they were sold out within 15 minutes. Scalpers not having access to NEX is a blessing. Not to mention tax free!

This is the top of the line (nothing better or really even close) graphics card and it's "replacement" (5090) is not expected out until 2025.... shouldn't be expecting any price cuts for this particular card anytime soon.....

I've been looking for this specific card at BestBuy for awhile.... cat and mouse there....

This card goes in and out of stock at AAFES. It's been available a bunch of times over the past 12 months. Usually sells out over a week or two when they get them in.

Not bad deal when you use the Star-card double point promo per dollar which comes out to 20$ I think ontop of the 10 for every 100$ spent. So you get back about 120$ in gift cards with the star card and promo.

I think anyone paying over msrp for this will feel similar pain as those who purchased exorbitantly priced gpu's during the crypto boom and the subsequent price crash. This is totally an nvidia greed issue with massive selling to the chinese to bypass AI hardware export regulations. People should have some self respect and not pay inflated prices to fatten NVDA shareholder's wallets. No wonder we have such crazy inflation, some people are willing to open their legs wallets wide for the corporations.
