This deal typically goes FP, and SD will replace the OP with their own template, which has less information. This leads to questions that have actually already been answered. Therefore posting the deal again as the first comment for ease of reference:
FYI Target is once again offering a free $10 Target gift card when you spend at least $100 on Apple gift cards online or in stores. The deal is valid 12/10 thru 12/16 according to page 10 of the weekly ad preview: https://weeklyad.target.com/promo...10&page=10 Ad typically indicates limit of 1 per guest, but YMMV in stores.
RedCard holders can save an additional $4.50. The discount is not equal to 5% ($5) because Target assigns a $10 charge to the "free" gift card and $90 for the remaining balance owed. Therefore RedCard 5% is based on $90 so the discount equals $4.50.
P.S. Apple has a limit of $2000 (*I believe*) to be saved to your Apple Account Balance + an additional 4 gift cards during checkout when using the Apple Store app, but the website checkout still allows 8. An individual gift card can also not exceed $2000.
As of iOS 15, you can add your Apple Account Balance as a card in the Wallet app. This helps to prevent some technical errors when shopping online, and allows for easier shopping when in a store.
My son received a $50 Target gift card as a gift. When he went to use it there were no funds.
I called target, they asked me for a picture of the front and back of the card and before the call was over they indicated they would replace the card. He received it in the mail about a week later.
It's good to know about the scams out there, and I have no idea if this issue was related to the particular scam linked above, but I wanted to let you all know how easily and satisfactorily Target resolved our issue.
I would jump on this deal without hesitation if I hadn't already claimed three previously when the Target gift card was $15. Also, these are electronic gift cards so not likely involved in the scam referenced above...

Don't get the physical card in store! The cards I bought worth $400 was tampered and target didn't give me the refund. I had to go thru apple support which took over a week to resolve the issues.
It's the same story from 10 years ago so set your browser to allow ancient news 5+ years and this story will keep popping up every year as if it is news to everyone.
Does anyone know, if you buy $2000 (4x $500) in Apple gift cards, do you get back a $200 Target gift card? Or do you need to buy 20x $100 gift cards on 20 separate orders?

I managed to get 3 cards on my red card account but only one on a second account online, despite numerous attempts. When you go to a store, can you purchase physical cards without using an account, so you can get the $10 gift card and $5 discover rebate?

That was then, this is now ! Lol . Looking to buy a couple of iPhones before year end, and this looks like best deal in town right now for outright purchase, not tied to any carrier.
I just keep stocking up on these deals and upgrade my MacBook Pro. It's awesome! The $15 dollar is way better
Usually cheaper getting Macs from other retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, Microcenter. Apple credit is best for discounted digital products & services or iPhones.
