Why Dell why not giving USB-C charging? The e-waste that these bulky chargers create.

Won't let me rep you, Good Doctor. You know, it ain't much of a laptop, but for some folks it may be their 1st to see how it goes or it may be all they can afford, or need, for that matter. My 1st laptop was an Asus X205TA. It was a good piece under $200. w/ not much RAM nor much storage, but it was my start to a better machine.

Again, these do NOT have an USB-C port. Please modify the description, OP.

I bought a cheaper version of this (1215u but otherwise identical) last month at around after $160 after all discounts and cashback were factored in. Overall can't complain for the price - it's cheaply built (couldn't get any more plasticky), there's no USB-C port and while 120Hz is nice on the display, colors look muted and the max brightness is quite low. But a good processor, upgradable ram and SSD (even an empty slot for a SATA SSD drive) easily make up for the shortcomings, given the price.

Yes. Per the linked offering, this notebook can be configured for 16GB RAM (2 x 8GB).

The support documentation confirms this too, even though some of the information isn't up to date (11th Gen Intel CPU...c'mon Dell).

Why is it good to have a USB-C port?
Where did you use it?

For charging and video output, primarily. It's convenient to have USB-C charging as it's so ubiquitous nowadays (no need to carry a separate charger). Also, without a USB-C port this laptop is limited to one external monitor (unless you use a DisplayLink enabled docking station which tends to be expensive).

To make matters complicated though, there are USB-C ports that support neither (usually ones found on cheaper laptops). So you really need to read the fine prints when you are shopping for a laptop.

The description at dell.com lists the display as WVA. My understanding is WVA could be TN or IPS or else, am I wrong ?

I grabbed the 3535 AMD version days ago. Using 10% off email code, plus $4x CB, and AE $200 - $40 off offer, end up ~ $230, and payed $20 for 8GB mem from eBay. I love it!

Not sure whether the information is up to date on Dell's support page for the Inspiron 15 3520 (link above). Note that Column 3 of the table is WVA touch display at 60Hz. However, the SD listing is for IPS non-touch at 120Hz. The only display in the table that is both non-touch and 120Hz is Column 2, the IPS panel. The Dell listing is for a WVA 120Hz display. Column 1 is the TN display and it is 60Hz, and its 40 degrees L/R Horizontal viewing angle is definitely not 'wide viewing angle' (WVA).

Best to contact Dell and confirm this listing is for an IPS display before purchasing. Nobody should be sentenced to viewing Intel UGH, er, UHD Graphics on a TN panel. :-)

Useful info. Thanks. That clearly shows that Dell uses three types of panel - TN, IPS and WVA, confirming WVA does not necessarily imply IPS.
