Why Dell why not giving USB-C charging? The e-waste that these bulky chargers create.

Won't let me rep you, Good Doctor. You know, it ain't much of a laptop, but for some folks it may be their 1st to see how it goes or it may be all they can afford, or need, for that matter. My 1st laptop was an Asus X205TA. It was a good piece under $200. w/ not much RAM nor much storage, but it was my start to a better machine.

Got this with the AMD 5500U for listed $279. Not too bad given there's a open ram slot and 2.5 inch SATA drive bay. If you fill the ram slots it can do 720p gaming. Battery is decent as I can get almost 6hrs watching youtube.

Can you share the steps for 279 price? I am seeing 329.
It's mentioned in my original description which the mods failed to copy properly in the edited FP post.
It's via email sign up to get 10% off which would get this down to $296.

The $279 is for the i3/512GB SSD model. Not this one. Don't know what was the point of that user mentioning that.

Hypothetically, is there a 10% off from another email address usable for existing customers. I know I've had to have bought something from.dell over the years.

Hi all. Looking at the deal and was wondering if this is a better deal?

I'm not a computer guy but my laptop just bit the dust.

Cause it would increase the price of the laptop. This is a budget laptop that is manufactured to meet a particular price point. If you want USB - C charging, be prepared to spend more.

? you can repurpose laptop chargers. I use an old laptop charger for some soldering iron I have .. that's literaly one example out of hundreds.
