Unscrew the lid. The flip-top doesn't let enough air in and it glugs and makes a mess. If you pour from higher up, the flow will decrease in cross-sectional area, also making it easier to have it all go in.

Saw the regular (no special scent) version in Costco for $8.99 for 2 bottles of 80oz each, works out to be about the same on a per oz basis.

Seems like a decent deal, thanks!

I find it somewhat cumbersome to refill smaller bottles with this one (I have to squeeze it really hard and it's slow) - is there an easier way?
Heat up the soap

what I like about this soap is it looks like Mountain Dew and really doesn't smell that great so you're inclined to naturally use less of it so it lasts longer. Use it in your guest bathroom and you'll rarely have to refill!

I actually like the Equate generic stuff better. Way less thick. Especially in winter, Softsoap is near impossible to refill dispensers with.

This is not an anti-bacterial from the ingredients. It "washes" away bacteria, but isn't an out-right bacteria killer. Heads up for anyone who is looking for an anti-bacterial soap - this isn't it.
The words anti-bacterial is just marketing gimmick. They are not any better than ordinary soap in killing bacteria.

I don't buy these Softsoap anymore due to the moisturizers they put in them. Hands feel oily afterwards so I end up extra-rinsing them. Costco has some that don't contain the moisturizer. It's unneeded.

I can turn this into foam by watering down before putting in a foam pump right?
Yes, cut it with 3 or 4 parts water to 1 part of soap. I like the Dial foam pump, but others work well too.

I've used dish soap and hand soap for both puproses and vice versa. Any reason why that's okay to do or not?

We use hand soap as body soaps. The ingredients list is same. Just marketing that makes body wash expensive.
