For anyone who would like to remove the permissions you granted for this deal, go here: https://myaccount.google.com/connections

Then, look for an entry called "gweb-play-points-app"

You can remove the permissions by clicking on the entry, then at the bottom you click on "Delete all connections you have with gweb-play-points-app"

Ok, I chatted with support and rep said that the 40% off requires you to be at gold level for at least 10 days before it will work. This promo is good until 12/31. The trade-in values and current google store discounts are supposed to remain the same until 12/31 so I guess you can wait 10 days and get this deal without losing on any current deals.

Google doesn't let promos stack. This will be off the MSRP and not their current ongoing discount.

The link in the OP worked for me on a Chromebook (didn't try on my phone), but does anyone know if it's 40% off MSRP or 40% off the current sale prices? 40% off MSRP makes it about $140+tax to upgrade from a P7 to P8, 40% off the current sale price makes it more like $50+tax. Just wondering if anyone has gone through with the purchase. Thanks!

Google promo codes are always off msrp. They never let you combine with sale prices.

That's what I thought and have seen, but you never know what Google is willing to do sometimes. Thanks for confirming. It's about $170 after tax & trade-in to go from the P7 to the P8. It would have been a no-brainer if it was 40% off the $549 sale price but I'll have to think about that one.
