These will most likely be some cheap, thin sheets of wood for the playing surface.

That means it will warp over time. Your balls won't roll straight, bumpers don't react as they should.

If you want a table, get one used. A lot of people bought tables during the pandemic, and are now selling them. Grab one, get new cloth (if needed), and assemble. Then ,balance the table. There are also services that will do all of this for your (moving a slate pool table sucks).

edit: 90 day warranty. Stay away if you want a real table.

or keep an eye on facebook free stuff, u have no idea how many people paying moving company to get rid of their slate pool table in their basement.

There is wood under the claw legs. The plastic claw legs snap together and then wrap around the wood.

Depending on how much you play, may take awhile to recoup the investment. It's .75 a game at my local bar, and the beers are $2 each.

Not to mention the time and hassle of getting this in a room and assembling it.

I believe you are supposed to attach it to a wall where the dart board is set up at the correct height. It isn't set up at 3 feet off the ground.

I would much rather play pool at the comfort at my home than at a dive bar. I don't care how much they charge. Inconvenience to go there. If a person has the room for a game room, I think it is worth it and can definitely get your money's worth. Buying a basketball hoop, table tennis or pool table for home use makes sense to me even if it isn't expensive pro model.

My sister bought a used bar pool table with slate. Got tired of it and was asking around during the last holiday party if anyone wanted it for free since it was so heavy to move.....for some folks, buying a pool table is like a boat....the day you buy it, and the day you get rid of it are the best days....LOL.

My son quit playing basketball when he started playing video games. I only use the ping pong table as a buffet table during parties. I was wise to not buy a pool table....mainly due to space.

I found a used one w real slate for $100. I looked at these and read a bunch of reviews from different sites. Problems with dead bumpers, felt that tears super easy, and beds warped so it's impossible to level. And the legs are plastic clad... Just look around and find a table that someone paid thousands for and get it for less than the 399. Hardest part is moving a real one. The slates are incredibly heavy.

Bought an 87 inch table once and used all the rationale to justify it. While it was fun to say I had a pool table and was a hit when I rarely entertained, by no means was it worth it. To be functional a table requires an incredible amount of space otherwise you're playing with conductor batons like the episode of Seinfeld with Kramer and the maestro. It eventually turned into a space for folding laundry and building legos.
