got this set a couple of years back. while not your extreme top of the line speakers, they are worth the price.

Same here. Got the set couple of years ago and they have been fantastic paired with a denon 7.2. Haven't gone to any movies since buying this if that speaks anything about them.

I just spent $1500+ on a full set from Klipsch including atmos, but looking at this jamo has be rethinking it.

I also got this setup a few years ago, it has been a great starter kit for me. I had the Jamo sub but it got the death thump, I run a Klipsch R-100SW sub now which was a definite upgrade. I use an Onkyo tx-nr686 receiver that I absolutely have zero complaints about

Sorry for the dumb question, but since quite few folks here have this bundle, would having receiver and sub with it be enough for a comprehensive home theater setup? I already have Polk Audio PSW10 sub and Yamaha TSR-7850R receiver gathering dust, so thought I'd find some use for it.

There is a big difference. I believe in buy once cry once. Get the right one that you want and get the most you can afford. And don't have to lose on resale and change out etc.

Well, I imagine you would also want a TV to be truly comprehensive. 😀 This would make a great budget 5.1 system paired with what you have. However, the Polk subwoofer is a quite underwhelming. As for these speakers, they hit above their price point. I think you would be happy, especially if you upgraded the sub.(Monolith, RSL, Outlaw, SVS, are a few to consider)

Got these two years back. They're fantastic for the price. Obviously, there are more premium speakers you can get, but if you just want some solid sound and a 'bang for your buck' deal, this is it. Ended up pairing it with a Sony subwoofer and some Sony Atmos speakers and the system as a whole sounds great.

Yes they are fair for the price but if you are looking for movies then expect to change the center. It is trash for dialog in movies, if you have the slightest hearing impairment, expect to increase the db on it and the wattage on avr would increase rapidly (though that is not the answer). If you don't care about dialog or about LCR uniformity (when you change the center) then I guess it is fair.

Bought the set back during the pandemic for the master bedroom. Still kicking strong with mid range denon reciever and an RSL speedwoofer.
Excellent combo with a 65" OLED. Cannot go wrong at this price

I bought this set on Amazon a couple years back and returned them. For movies with a fuller range it's pretty great. But I did find the center channel lacking. It has a warm base and mids are good. However I did find the highs to be lacking.

For movies I think they're rock solid. But for someone that streams or does TV series more than movies I cannot suggest this package. The center channel was just too lacking and oftentimes the other speakers will absolutely overpower. This of course can be circumvented with increasing db or more importantly repositioning but if space is an issue (it is for me) then this set isn't for you.
