Wonder if it can help with devices such as laser printer that draw a lot of power when printing and making lights flicker.
Yep! You can daisy chain some power strips to this bad boy and hook up all of your high-draw devices (e.g. hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, electric cooktop, and even your microwave). That way none of them cause your lights to flicker. Plus, when the power goes out, you won't have to reset your microwave clock. 😉

I had a sacrificial 1500 UPS once. Lighting hit and fried the UPS and most of the equipment attached. APC wouldn't cover any of it. Now I'm no longer an APC customer and recommend others not purchase there consumer grade equipment.

I "think" their pro-grade equipment is covered differently. I still use a couple of their SU2200 rack-mount UPS units and replace the batteries every few years. But the plastic stuff is a no-go for me now.

It could be a really good deal. It's the first time I have ever seen a listing selling a UPS that doesn't tell me what the VA/Watt rating is. I looked it up: 900 Watt / 1500 VA (yes I do know the model number, and the SlickDeals headline- I'm talking about B&H's product page.

Some lifepo4 solar generators have a UPS mode.... Bluetti EB3a for around $200 comes to mind.

Smart people don't depend on UPS to protect their equipment. Smart people install SPD...

oh those so called guarantees (all brands) are just marketing ploy. they make people jump though so many hurdles and all that shit. They even get you to send back the fried ups unit and then still deny coverage. of course they want the unit back so they can analyze it for their benefit.

I have the normal pure sine wave APC for my son's gaming PC but each time there's a power blip the computer shuts down. It detects the change from grid to battery power and it shuts down. All other connected devices are fine. I also tried a Cyber Power pure sine wave and had the same issue. I guess his power supply is too sensitive. I don't think this one will do any better, even though it's labeled "gaming".
What is the power output?
