Does anyone know how the service is delivered? Is it just a router with a sim card? Could you use this as a travel router?

Essentially, yes. I don't know if it's geolocked, so I wouldn't bank on it, however I've seen them activated at one address and then used at another.

These appliances are also pretty large for a travel router. they're like...5-6" cubed and have to be plugged in.

Unavailability, though speculation, is probably just due to Verizons inability to deliver QOS at an ineligible address, and they don't want to face the backlash by offering it where they can't absolutely guarantee it'll perform at peak

I may take a look at T-Mobile 5G.

Can you get live TV with T-Mobile 5G? I just want basic NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, CW, Fox.
I haven't tried that, but the device is for internet connectivity. If you mean can you stream through it? Yes.

This is an interesting concept that I had never considered. This may sound like a silly question, but can you use something like this on a cruise? 🤔😁

I got this service recently and for some reason can't find a decent spot for the router in my apt. I haven't been able to get speeds over 50mb down, unfortunately. Gonna try toying with some things for a bit before I cancel but I was able to get an Xbox Series X. For some reason I'm having issues with redeeming the $200 Amazon Gift card and have contacted Verizon about 4 or 5 times at this point to try to rectify the issue. I'm told they will send me another email with a redemption link but who knows if that'll work. I plan on keeping it and trying to improve the speeds but so far hasn't been great and I'm in SoCal in a pretty good area close to a 5G tower.

It gets service from cell towers, not a satellite, so unless your boat is sailing by verizon cell phone towers, not likely.

Thank you for your response. 😔 that makes sense. I was really happy for a moment.

Can I use my orbi modem plus router with Verizon? T-Mobile does not let me do that since they offer their own
Yes, put the Verizon router in IP Passthrough mode. That's what I'm doing right now with my current Verizon 5G Home Internet. Got it hooked up to Deco XE75.

No, it's just confusing because of what T-Mobile offers with their 5G Mobile network based home internet.
I was confused too.

I would also assume these are tower locked or something similar. They're meant to be home inet, not mobile, so I doubt they will support switching like a phone would? Just my guess.

Too bad Verizon home internet is just a myth. It doesn't exist within 150 miles of here.

Thank you.
I thought they may offer some type of Live TV package similar to how Youtube TV does it.

I am looking to switch from Xfinity. Their box for TV is horrible. 3 seconds to change channels.

I have a few of these for my rental properties, and consistently pull 400mbps. Haven't tried gaming yet, but have no problem with 3 TVs, a bunch of ipads, and our cell phones.

Why couldn't you get 5G HI? Doesn't require changing any wiring. It's all wireless.
If the tower where you live is congested or the allowed # of 5G HI sign ups have been met, they stop taking new customers. I'm using Verizon 5G Home internet right now but if you check for availability using my address, Verzion will say it's not available.

T-Mobile does the same with their 5G Home internet for my address.
