I like the Pro deal from Amazon better than this that was $821 (with amazon 5% cashback), though this has double the SSD, 1.6'' bigger screen, and the touch screen.

Those cause so much unnatural misalignment in hand position for touch typists on laptops.
I am the opposite: I demand a numpad, and I wish the one on this Samsung was full size, not this narrow type where they sliced off rightmost column with the -/+/Enter keys. But better than no numpad.
My wife has a 2022 model (Book2 360) which doesn't have numpad, and I could never use it for that very reason.

I understand the appeal of numpads, I like them too, but not on laptops where you can't offset the main keys to centered like you can with a desktop computer.
And with a laptop without the numpad, you can always add an external USB one for times you will be using numbers a lot.
But at least this one does have a minimized numpad which help, at least for people on the same train as I 😉.
Different strokes for different folks. I guess we wouldn't see any of these if many people didn't like them.
I just hope any touch typists use one somewhere before buying one, because while you can adapt, they are always a little irritating for many of us for most common everyday work.

I definitely understand your logic. My main point was exactly as you say: Different strokes for different folks!
