Great game! But if you can get Sushi Go Party (standalone, not an expansion) at a good price, go for it instead since it has many more options for variety and increased replayability.

Agreed. Played at Thanksgiving, and with kids, a a sixth person can still participate by keeping order.

Great game at a nice price, this is a good choice for a less-well-known family game in time during the holidays

Great game! great to have on shelf.

Played with my grade-schooler boys without issue. We learned during 1st or 2nd time through just keep all cards visible and help each other to get best play.

After that, they were vicious players! Smilie

The game without the tin is $3.25 in store at Five Below. I'm not sure if the cards are the same quality though.

I came to comment the same. It's cheaper for the exact same thing at 5 below every day. Also it's a fun little game anywhere in the $3-10 range

Our family loves the base game - it's quick and fun, simple which is good, but replayability takes a hit.

I've been watching the Sushi Go Party price for a while and have not found it at a good discount, will definitely be buying when it goes on sale.

Does the party pack include the base game? Do you need the base game to play the party pack?

If you want to take it to the next level 7 Wonders is a more complex version of this game and highly rated on BGG with a high score of 7.7.

Great game! If you want a little more randomness, Sushi Roll is a good game too! Similar scoring, but uses dice instead of cards

I like using this game for young kids to break the idea of "it isn't fair" because every player gives away their hand to the next player each turn, thus removing most of the feeling of good or bad hands.
