A set of 52 playing cards has 8.0658e67 (That's 8 with 67 '0's) different arrangements it can be placed in. For context just how big that number is, the age of the universe is = 13.82 Billion years = 4.3611e17 seconds.
Difference between a million / billion / trillion:

Your "sniff test" objection is not related to the fact I stated. The # of possible arrangements of a deck of cards is not the same as predicting specific transitions during a single shuffle. 8.0658e67 arrangements for a deck of cards is a theoretical representation of all possible orders, not a prediction of specific real-world outcomes.
My point was to show the vast range of possibilities with a "clean shuffle", not the likelihood of a particular arrangement happening. If you went to Vegas, dealer shuffled the deck and laid out all 52 cards 1 by 1, there would be 52 possibilities for the 1st card, 51 possibilities for the 2nd card, 50 possibilities for the 3rd card … and so on. That's 52 factorial = 52 x 51 x 50 x 49…… x 2 x 1 = 8.0658e67 possible arrangements.
