Excuse my ignorance, but is USB 3.2 better than USB-C or vice versa?
USB-C is just the connector and has nothing to do with speeds or compatibility.

USB-C is interface standard, it's physical shape of the connector; USB 3.2 is protocol standard, it represents data transfer speed.

USB-C can be with different standards. For example, USB-C on iphone 15 and iphone 15 plus are USB 2.0 standard (480Mbps), while iphone 15 pro and pro max are USB 3.2 (10Gbps)

much slower speeds, Sandisk is 680mb/s vs 1050mb/s for the Samsung
680mb/s is good enough for most people. 30% cheaper, why not? Smilie

This or the Best Buy t7 Shield refurbished? The only hang up is the short 90-day warranty.

there is always a backup plan. if your finger got chopped off. it will prompt for the password.
But then the person who chopped off your finger would have access to your files. I suppose you will have bigger problems if that was the case though.

Yeah I see this is highly vulnerable. I see now why it's on discount. We will lose not just data but a finger … daym 🙁

Did you get yours. I ordered 2 on Samsung cyber Monday, and still haven't received. ETA is now set to the 19th.

Apparently there's an edu limit of 2 per category per year. I ordered two SSDs at the beginning of the year, so that might explain my error. Stupid chat reps couldn't figure it out though.

Their website is awful. If you can get it in the cart, there's also 12% cashback out there to make it effectively $80. May not arrive before Christmas.

Are you talking about the RAcK of TEN? Found another through RMT at 12% but it expired yesterday.

I also had a problem with the Samsung website. The 2TB drive was $99.99 when added to the cart, but in the cart the price jumped to $289.99.
It was $89.99 its for Samsung employee discount

I wouldn't worry about it since you would give up your drive password anyway if they were going to start chopping off your fingers.
