STOP BUYING FROM AND SUPPORTING COMPANIES THAT COMMIT FRAUD AGAINST THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Jesus christ slickdeals frontpage is a shithole now.

ibuyPower is a shit company that sells used items pretending they are new, and charging new prices.
Wasn't that corrected by someone who mentioned that they didn't get a GPU but ibuy replaced it of good faith or was that not confirmed?

Is this sentiment from personal experience?

I bought a PC from them 3 years ago or so. Still running (albeit with an open case) but solid NEW parts. It worked great until some months ago, when it would shut off, but I think it's just a cooling issue as I have no issues with the open case. I do smoke in my room, and it causes so much damage to my fans.

What happened is that someone received a PC with a defective/damaged GPU and IBP replaced it with a refurb.

While not an awesome business practice, it is consistent with the terms in their warranty and certainly not fraud.

Is this a glass side AND front, in which the side/front is all the same piece?

I intend to purchase it and then take it on a plane. Would that be risky?

That's common for so many manufacturers

Apple does that shit all the time but no one cares; I do well to take care of my devices but it doesn't mean I get it back after apple thinks they can't fix it just cause they can't repair their unrepairable devices

I get Nvidia practically owns the whole market so you CANNOT get a GPU just brand new anymore; you get the same silicon but maybe renewed cooler and thermal pads

No manufacturer will send a perfectly good die to Nvidia just to get charged when it could be a bad sensor

Give it a rest, bud. You've been on every IBP thread spreading misinformation. At this point they should probably sue you for libel. You didn't read the TOS and that's on you, not on the company. What they did was not fraud.

I always find it bizarre that these often include a small HDD. It's cheaper to buy a 2TB SSD retail than to buy a 1TB SSD and a 1TB HDD. And If you want a HDD for cheap extra space, a 2TB model is practically the same price as a 1TB model.
They must get some kind of closeout pricing.

The difference you get from 4070TI vs 4070 easily outweighs the one from 13700f vs 7700x
The 7700x has the added benefit of being on the AM5 platform which will be support for three more generations. So what if it isn't the most powerful CPU. It will be fine for whatever you're using it for the next three years by then you can just upgrade it to whatever the last, most powerful, am5 processor AMD comes out with and not worry about having to upgrade your mobo for another 3-4 years. I would say it's a good entry point to a system that can last a decade with upgrades. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic.

. Where does everyone think the 7700x will slow them down? Games, spreadsheets, programming, video editing? I dont get it.

I didn't buy the Ibuypower system but I bought the same specs through ABS.I literally wanted the cheapest entry to this platform with a 4070ti. I think there's slower processors but they pair them with lower end GPUs.
